Design Process
Dracula by Deane and Balderston

Purdue University Theatre
West Lafayette, Indiana

In this section of my online portfolio, I have endeavored to briefly illustrate the process I go through when designing costumes for a play. For my example, I have utilized materials from a production of Dracula produced by Purdue Theatre in 2009 and directed by Gregg Brevoort. I have created slides explaining my process, including analysis of the script, formatting a design statement, conducting research, and creating preliminary and final designs. I have also included the final designs for Dracula and photographs from the production.

To go through the process sequentially, click on the first thumbnail and scroll through the remaining slides in order, or click on any thumbnail to go to the slide of your choice.
